The Whispering Verses: End of Volume 2

The second volume of "The Man Who Devoured Darkness" is officially completed. The originally planned length of about 200 chapters actually ended up being 250 chapters. There should never be such a long volume in the future, otherwise the author would have difficulty imagining how many words he would write in the final book.

The last scene of the first volume shows Shade and the doctor with their backs to the burning building. Shade turns back and the doctor lowers his head. The two of them walk side by side on the street. The last scene of the second volume is from the streets of the steam age. Looking towards the second floor window, Shade looked into the distance in the mist, and the doctor looked at Shade.

The adventures in Coldwater Port and Tobesk are temporarily over. After becoming a player in the big city, Shade will go on a new adventure. The theme of the next volume is "death". Shade, who enters the third ring, will experience more exciting stories. As for the secrets of the other four people in the group, the symptoms have only been roughly described so far, and their respective plot lines have just begun.

Some people regard this book as a large-scale stand-alone game, but it is indeed very similar. For example, Mia the cat is a pet system, but raising it well will affect the ending; Saint Teresa Square No. 6 is a home system, with functions added as the plot progresses, that is, doors that can be entered; Shade's relationship with everyone is Favorability system. Reaching a certain value unlocks achievements such as free divination, free potions, and exclusive tasks. Even after the favorability reaches the highest level, the NPC teaming system can be unlocked (referring to turning into toys and using time keys and space statues). In time, In dungeons and maps where NPCs should not appear (for example, Priest Augustus cannot appear in Cold Water Harbor), summon NPCs to assist in the battle.

But the protagonist of the story is definitely not just Shade. Only after understanding the stories of doctors, priests, Luvia and Dorothy can we fully understand what kind of story this is. If this is a stand-alone game, you need to use four characters first to complete four story lines. Each character has its own system. For example, the doctor is the devil mission system, the priest is the church work and ** mission, and Luvia is the prophet association. Daily tasks and special tasks, Dorothy and Lesia are the Cavendish family legend, palace political line, dual perspective tasks and combat substitution system. Only after completing all the plots of these four initial characters can you use the final character - Stranger Shade.

Having said all this, I just hope that everyone can continue to support this book, and I also welcome the opinions of genuine readers.

The story of "The Whispering Poems" (also known as "The Story of the Detective Knight" and "The Sword of the Silver Moon") has just begun, and after [Darkness], please look forward to the third volume [All Things Must Die].
