Juliana’s workshop Chapter 3: Refugees and underground demons

These oncoming crowds are not interested in the carriage that Lulunaka and Zhen Dina are in. They didn’t just look in a hurry, they seemed to be avoiding something. Such a collective looks like this. Generally speaking, only war can bring about such changes. But it shouldn’t be right at this time. Although Zhen Dina was still a child, to her, war was never a distant and unfamiliar thing. She knew very well what the war would bring… at least not the feeling that the group of people in front of her brought to her.

To put it more bluntly, these people smell of pain and misery, but lack some…corrupt smell. That’s the taste that will only taste when life is completely ruined by war in this world where there is no kindness to speak of. Life has become cheap, and human thoughts have gradually become indistinguishable from animals.

So Zhen Dina is pretty sure, these people shouldn’t escape because of the war. “What happened to these people?” Gendina asked Lulunaka, “They look like they were driven out.”

”At least not escaped after being massacred.” Lulunaka said, “There is no luckier than this.”

Zhen Dina doesn’t think this is any luck. If there is such a thing as lucky, then those people who hurried by with luggage will not have such a tired and dazed expression.

These people who look like refugees are not just looking in a hurry, they don’t see any vitality in them, they leave with old and weak women and children, as well as food and heavy luggage collected in a hurry. My own home…no more shock than this.

The adults were not very energetic, so they passed Lulunaka’s Whimsy. A tattered child came to Lulunaka’s side, looking curiously at this whimsical sign, which was a circle larger than the carriage on their side. The limbs of these children were so thin that only a layer of skinny remained, but here, only they had some energy, and they didn’t look like they were about to fall down. At least Zhendina couldn’t smell decay in them.

Lulunaka smiled very softly in the face of the children who came around. She took out some short, hard bread sticks and threw them to the children—Gendina couldn’t see where she took them out at all. The children caught the food thrown by Lulunaka and started yelling. “Thank you sister!” they yelled and just ran away, as if they were afraid that Lulunaka would take the things back.

“What a rude kid.” Lulunaka said with a smile. Although she said so, she showed no signs of anger. “The teeth will smash.” Gendina reminded me kindly. Those children looked like… very hungry. She wasn’t sure if they would just shove that hard bread into their mouths like a weapon. That would not be a good thing. You have to soak it for a while before you can eat it, otherwise it won’t be good for your teeth.

“That’s not something I can care about.” Lulunaka said, “Someone will care about them anyway.”

As Lulunaka said, these children are indeed not unattended. Her charity really attracted others. It was an elderly woman who came to Lulunaka, “Thank you for the help of the two young ladies…the food on our side is actually not enough, and the children have been hungry for a few days.”

“You are too kind, just some food that is going to deteriorate.” Lulunaka smiled, and said that it was not very polite, “If you don’t want to make a stomach, just take care of it.”

Zhendina thinks Lulunaka’s attitude is very appropriate. It is nothing good to be too close to the existence of refugees. Even if they are very poor, they are just pitiful.

“What happened? I think you are like people living in the same place. It is not normal for so many people to walk together.”

Lulunaka’s question caused the old woman to sigh, “Two ladies, fortunately you met us… You should go back now, if you go further, you will be there. Our village is… now there is hell, a paradise for the devil.”

Lulunaka’s brows twitched a few times when she heard the old woman’s words. This was a performance that Lulu Naka was very interested in. She did not interrupt the old woman and let her continue.

“One after another demons emerged underground and underground. Those demon with shells dragged away half of the village people. Only us escaped…” He said, The old woman hid her face and cried, “Many young people are gone~IndoMTL.com~The parents of some children…”

Hearing such things can make people unable to relax. It’s just this underground demon that reminded Zhen Dina of some bad things.

“A terrible thing has happened…” Lulunaka also had a sympathetic expression on her face. Whether she pretended it or not, only she knew. And Zhen Dina didn’t believe that Lulu Naka really had such a thing as compassion. Listening to the old woman’s words, Zhen Dina learned a few things, but more of them were still in the mist. At least Zhendina didn’t believe in such things as demons in the underground. If there were demons in the underground… then the old woman wouldn’t stand here. Zhen Dina also understood that these people are indeed refugees who have fled, and indeed only refugees, who seem to have no interest in everything around them-because they only have the desire to live.

But this is also the most dangerous. If it becomes a difficult thing to survive, Zhen Dina knows very well what they can do. So she now wants to quickly distance herself from the refugees, and it’s best to never see her again.

After that, the old woman returned to the team with some dry food from Lulunaka. Seeing Lulu Naka’s kind deeds, Zhen Dina is not without objection, “We can’t help them with this food.” Zhen Dina said.

”This kind of thing, peace of mind is the most important thing.” Lulunaka said that Zhendina would never believe it, “but it’s not without gain, at least knowing where we should go next. Up.”

Zhen Dina had a bad feeling, “You shouldn’t go to the village where the devil is drilled underground.”

“You can’t miss interesting things, right.” Lulunaka smiled, “Don’t you think so?”

Zhen Dina has no such thoughts at all.
