Juliana’s workshop Chapter 14: Or an illusion?

A momentary sense of slipping caused Padin to curl up and put his hands on his head. He didn’t know what Lulunaka did this time, but the feeling of falling like the wooden plank under his feet was pulled away, made him immediately make the most appropriate response. Fortunately, he is not a prisoner with a noose, his hands and feet can move freely, and there is no rope around his neck.

But this fall did not last long, and it could even be said to be a momentary event. Padin felt like he was on the ground, and his feet didn’t receive much impact. He put down his hands and drew out the knife pinned to his waist.

There is a white mist in front of my eyes, thicker than before, and I can’t see anything. The visible range is only a few meters, and Padin is now completely blind. If the pure darkness is frustrating, then the pure whiteness can’t make people feel better, especially this kind of suspicious fog.

After the whole person got down, Padin was full of doubts when he saw such a scene. There was no Olga, no Julius, and no Lulunaka. The four of them should have fallen together, but after landing, the other three were gone. There is only Padin here now.

shouldn’t be like this. Padin looked around, but it didn’t seem to make sense. There was dense fog all around, he couldn’t see anything, there was no circular pattern made of bricks on the ground, there were no strange buildings around, no sky, let alone the sun, and there was no one around him.

If the other three who fell with Padin see the same scenery, then they shouldn’t go too far. In this kind of place, Padin lost even the sense of distance. He didn’t know whether the place was spacious or narrow.

He is standing still, not knowing what to do. Do you want to stay here motionless, or venture into the fog? In other words, he was already in the fog now, but he didn’t notice it.

For some reason, Padin’s situation now makes him feel a strong feeling. That feeling made his heart throb. It was not the fierce heartbeat caused by the high feeling, nor was it the fear that made the heart beat violently. This feeling is a sense of powerlessness.

Paddin doesn’t know why he feels this way at this time. Is it because of the vastness of whiteness in front of you, you can’t see anything, can’t see the direction…If you can’t see the way forward, will you become like this? He thinks he is not such a sentimental person, so what is affecting him?

At this time, a “line” appeared in the fog in front of Padin. The line splits the white mist into two, as if it had opened a white curtain. The fog moved to both sides, and something that Padin hadn’t expected at all appeared.

In this kind of fog, and still beside Lulunaka, no matter what happens, Padin doesn’t think he will be surprised. But the sight that appeared before his eyes still made him feel unbelievable.

The white mist dissipated, and what appeared in front of Padin were rows of seats, stacked from near to far, from high to low. Patin looked around, not only did the fog in front of him disappear, the fog beside him just now seemed like an illusion, now it is completely gone, only countless seats can be seen. The place where he was standing was surrounded by these seats, dripping water, and it seemed that he could not find the way to leave.

and Padin wanted to leave, it seemed a bit difficult. In front of every seat closest to Padin stood a tall armor. These armors are airtight, and the helmets and joints are tightly wrapped, making it impossible to tell whether a person is wearing the armor or is empty.

Paddin didn’t know why he appeared in such a scene. Is this the reality under the white fog, or the illusion caused by the fog? Many things are unclear. But he knew that as a trial court, it was beyond his imagination.

There are some people sitting in the seats where there is no end in sight, but they are sitting so far that Padin can’t really see it. There was a faint voice in the seats behind those armors, but Padin couldn’t see people because the armor blocked his vision. And Padin, where he is standing now is naturally not a stage-it is more like a trial seat for sinners.

Padin touched the knife on his waist, and found that the knife did not know when it was gone. For him, the sword is not as easy as the sword after all, but he has lost the pride of the knight, and he really does not want to use the sword anymore. Now, he seems to have lost even the knife. This made him laugh, but the bitter taste couldn’t dissipate.

Now he seems to be a fish on someone’s chopping board. Padin didn’t think that everything in front of him had any kindness to him. The murderous intent from those armors, and the whispers from the position equivalent to the trial seat and the spectator seat made him feel insecure.

The armor on the front of Padin moved, and the two armors next to it also moved, allowing the seat to appear in front of Padin.

Two men and a woman sat in front of Padin. Padin couldn’t see their faces or the expressions on their faces. But he could feel contempt, hatred and anger.

“You go with the flow.” A man’s voice sounded and spread throughout the dinner.

“You kill the innocent.” Then there was a woman’s voice.

   “You treachery.” Another man’s voice.

Three sentences, like three knives, were thrust into Padin’s chest. Padin took a few steps back, “Who are you?”

   “We are the judges.”

   “We are the judge.”

   “We are executioners.”

“You have no right to judge me!” Padin shouted, “If you think this can make me surrender…”

Padin’s next words got stuck in his throat, unable to speak. In front of him, the face of the blurry person became clear. Those are people he will never forget in his life.

was slandered as a witch, a woman he could only execute. Teach him to be the father of an honest and sincere person. Teach him how to be the old captain of a knight.

If everything in front of you is an illusion, then this is too real. But the expressions on their faces made Padin feel so unfamiliar—no, only the hatred on the woman’s face made him very familiar.

“Paddin, you are pretending,” said Patin’s father.

“Edgar, you killed the weak.” Padin’s old captain said.

“Knight, you submit to authority.” said the woman killed by Padin.

It’s not just the three of them who are vocalizing, the number of people in the table gradually increases, and more and more voices flooded Padin from all directions. These people who appeared were all familiar to Padin, and some of them died under Padin’s hands.

   “There is no opinion.”

   “Fear of power.”

   “Show off your strength.”

  ”Fake benevolence and false meaning.”

   “Fear of responsibility.”

  ……

Every word hit Padin’s heart, making Padin involuntarily want to retreat, but he can’t retreat anymore. If he goes even one step further, he will die here—his heart will Crash, his soul will be beaten to pieces. At this time, he felt that Lulunaka was so benevolent~IndoMTL.com~ because she only took away the knighthood he had fought for for decades; and in this dock, what he lost, I am afraid More.

“Paddin Edgar, what kind of person is he?” A loud voice resounded through the court for Patin.

   “A hypocritical person.”

   “A weak person.”

  ”A timid person.”

   “A cowardly person.”

The voices came and went one after another, no one was rushing to speak, and the words were coherent.

“Then what kind of ending should he get?” The voice continued.

“Death penalty.” “Death penalty.” “Death penalty.” “Death penalty…”

Everyone has made a decision, and every decision is the same.

   “Then, the trial is over.”

Everything in front of Padin disappeared again, but the armor remained. Holding a huge two-handed sword, spear, and axe in the hands of the armor, he was slowly moving closer to Padin. Every step of their steps on the ground brought heavy noises. Every step they approached seems to be a death knell for Padin.

Paddin is irresistible, and there is nothing around him. There is no sword, no shield, and no armor on his body.

But something appeared beside him, it was a long stick. Padin stretched out his hand to hold the long stick and protected him in front of him.

“This is the last weapon your hypocritical heart can bring you?” The loud voice sounded again, “There is no sharpness of a sword, no sharpness of a spear head, and no strongness of a shield… Then, This is your last struggle, sinner.”

“I may be a sinner.” Padin said, “But it will not be you who can judge me.”
